Works Management System

Cloud Street worked with Speyside Scaffolding to develop an application to support their quotation, invoicing and works management processes. The application replaced various manual and Excel-based processes.

Features of the application include:

  • Managing multiple job specifications within a customer portfolio
  • Generation of estimates based on materials, labour and other expenses, including ability to save and copy/amend different estimate versions, and automatically update the estimated price for variations in job duration
  • Recording of actual staff time, materials and other resources against live jobs, including applying complex overtime rules to calculate wages payable and charge-out rates
  • Creation and automatic update of schedules of scaffolding inspections to meet legal requirements
  • Production of invoices and customer account status updates, including ability to work with stage payments, day charges and credit notes

Technology

The system was developed on the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database platform with a Microsoft Access 2007 user interface.
